Hurricanes and Tropical Storms
The hurricane season begins each year on June 1, and lasts through November 30.
During the season, we'll post images, animations, and relevant information
about active storms.
There is an extended range forecast
available from Profs. Klotzbach and Gray at Colorado State University.
We also work with the Office of Homeland Security and
Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) during storm events which threaten
the Louisiana coast.
