POSES A HEAVY RAIN...STORM SURGE...AND TORNADO THREAT...

AT 10 PM CDT...0300Z...THE TROPICAL STORM WARNING HAS BEEN
DISCONTINUED WEST OF THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THE MOUTH OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO PASCAGOULA MISSISSIPPI...INCLUDING LAKE
PONCHARTRAIN.

AT 10 PM CDT...0300Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM BILL WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 30.8 NORTH...LONGITUDE 90.1 WEST OR ABOUT
15 MILES WEST OF BOGALUSA LOUISIANA. THIS IS ALSO ABOUT 65 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF HATTIESBURG MISSISSIPPI.

BILL IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHEAST NEAR 10 MPH AND THIS
GENERAL MOTION IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE TONIGHT. A GRADUAL
TURN TO THE NORTHEAST AT A FASTER FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED BY
TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. STEADY
WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

A SUSTAINED WIND OF 37 MPH WITH A GUST TO 52 MPH WAS RECENTLY
REPORTED AT THE GULFPORT MISSISSIPPI AIRPORT.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 115 MILES FROM THE
CENTER...MAINLY TO THE SOUTHEAST OVER WATER.

THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1000 MB...29.53 INCHES.

STORM SURGE COASTAL FLOODING OF 3 TO 5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TIDE
LEVELS IN THE WARNING AREA WILL GRADUALLY SUBSIDE LATER TONIGHT.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL TOTALS OF 4 TO 7 INCHES ARE EXPECTED OVER
PORTIONS OF MISSISSIPPI...ALABAMA...AND THE WESTERN FLORIDA
PANHANDLE.

A FEW TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
MISSISSIPPI...MUCH OF ALABAMA...AND THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE. DURING
THE PAST FEW HOURS...AS MANY AS FOUR TORNADOES HAVE BEEN REPORTED
ACROSS THE COASTAL REGION OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI.
