At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ida was
located near latitude 14.4 North, longitude 38.5 West. Ida is moving
toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and a northwest to
west-northwest track is forecast for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher
gusts. Some slow strengthening is expected during the next 48
hours.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).

depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h)
and this general motion is expected to continue during the next
couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts.
Satellite imagery indicates that the depression is becoming less
organized, and it is expected to degenerate to a remnant low
pressure area later today or tonight.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
