DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lisa was
located near latitude 18.5 North, longitude 32.5 West. Lisa is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days with a
gradual increase in forward speed.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with
higher gusts. Little change in intensity is expected tonight or
Thursday, but slow weakening is expected to begin Thursday night.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).

At 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Karl was
located near latitude 21.9 North, longitude 58.7 West. The
depression is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and
this motion is expected to continue through Thursday but shift
toward the north-northwest by Friday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Based on data from NOAA Buoy 41044, the minimum central pressure is
1007 mb (29.74 inches).
